Roma Indicta
Empires rise and fall, buildings crumble, statues are toppled – out of all this, what are we to make of what’s left? How are we to interpret the story that the city tells about itself, especially when women are, but for a select few, subsumed beneath the legends of men?
The world premiere of Roma Indicta, song cycle for mezzo-soprano and guitar, was hosted by Salon Music in London on 4 September, 2024.
